GOOD NEWS — “The past few years have felt very volatile and we are facing so many challenges as people right now, they seem to keep hitting one after another. Many of us feel angry and some of us even feel despair. Sometimes those emotions can find dark avenues to travel down. “Good News” is a song about my hope for the future, a hope that we will remember our humanity and our connectedness to each other, that we will remember our similarities over our differences.”

BIG FEELINGS — “Big feelings” is a song about how I interpret the world. I’ve always been a sensitive person who feels things very deeply. Sometimes it’s hard to know what to do with all of those feelings. It can be kind of messy but also a raw and beautiful way of seeing the world and because of that, I wouldn’t change a thing.”

Biography

From her years in the Everybodyfields, to her critically acclaimed solo career, to her latest collaboration, Hush Kids, which she co-founded with Nashville songwriter and producer, Peter Groenwald, Andrews has delivered irresistibly melodic, genre-bending music for nearly two decades. Anchored by frank songwriting but continuously and unapologetically evolving, Andrews’ tape deck currently hosts a range of influences from Joni Mitchell to Diana Ross to the beatles to contemporaries, gregory alan Isakov and st. vincent. The result is bold, infectious, introspective music that has served as the backdrop to some of America’s most beloved television series including Grey’s Anatomy, This Is Us, Nashville, and Wynnona Earp, to which she composed the theme.
